FitterForge privacy policy
Effective date: October 23, 2026 · Data Not Collected
Effective 2026-10-23. Applies to FitterForge for iPhone, version 1.0 and later until replaced. Brazier Labs, contact@brazierlabs.com.
The short version
FitterForge collects no data. It has no account, no server, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party code. Everything you enter stays on your phone unless you export it yourself.
What the app stores on your phone
- Settings: unit system, fraction precision, appearance, haptics, the fabrication defaults you last used, your favourite and recent tools and favourite reference records. Stored in the app’s own preferences.
- Saved calculations and Jobs: the inputs, results and notes you save, in a file in the app’s own folder on the phone.
- The current state of a calculator while you are using it, so a half-typed value survives switching to another app.
The app’s folder is part of your iPhone backup (iCloud Backup or a computer backup) under Apple’s terms for backups. FitterForge does not use iCloud Drive or any other sync of its own. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
What the app sends
Nothing. FitterForge contains no networking code and never connects to a server. The Support and Privacy Policy links in Settings open in your browser or mail app only when you tap them.
Exports
When you share a calculation, a Job sheet, a CSV or a drawing, iOS’s share sheet hands the file to the app or service you choose (Files, Mail, AirDrop and so on). That file contains the calculation’s inputs, results, notes and Job name, and whatever you typed into them. What happens to it afterwards is governed by the app or service you sent it to. FitterForge keeps no copy beyond the saved calculation itself.
Motion sensors
The Angle Finder reads the phone’s motion sensors (accelerometer and gyroscope, through Apple’s Core Motion) while that tool is open, to show the angle the phone is lying at. The readings are shown and, if you choose, handed into an offset calculator. They are not recorded, stored or sent anywhere.
Siri, Shortcuts and Spotlight
FitterForge offers its simple and rolling offset calculators and its pipe table to Siri and Shortcuts, and lists your saved calculations and Jobs in Spotlight so you can open them by name. This uses Apple’s on-device App Intents and Spotlight frameworks. Apple’s handling of Siri requests is described in Apple’s own privacy policy; FitterForge itself receives only the numbers you say and returns the result, and keeps nothing.
Children
FitterForge is a trade calculator rated 4+. It collects no data from anyone, children included.
Apple
Apple may collect crash reports and usage statistics from your device if you have opted in to sharing them with developers in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements. That is Apple’s collection under Apple’s terms, and it is the only way any information about FitterForge’s use could reach us. FitterForge contains no crash-reporting or analytics code of its own.
Changes
If a future version changes any of this, the policy at this address will be updated with a new effective date before that version is released, and the App Store listing’s privacy details with it.
